Yesterday, the Aveiro Region Innovation Ecosystem received a visit from the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira, the Secretary of State for Planning and Regional Development, Hélder Reis, and the President of the Recovering Portugal Mission Structure, Fernando Alfaiate.
During this visit, the progress and main results of the Microelectronics Agenda were presented, which is currently one of the PRR’s main projects, with a total planned investment of 68 million euros.
Also during the day, they visited the companies HFA and PICadvanced, which are part of the Microelectronics Agenda consortium and both based in the Aveiro region.
PICadvanced had the opportunity to present the optoelectronic solutions it offers in the telecommunications market, as well as the latest developments in optical integrated circuits (PICs) within the scope of the PRR Agenda.
HFA presented its internal details and processes, as well as the investments made under the project that have enabled it to leverage its electronics production line.
