Microelectronics agenda highlighted at Micronora 2024: Collaborations and business opportunities boost the sector in Portugal

The Microelectronics Agenda’s participation in the Micronora trade fair in Besançon, France, continues to have a strong impact, consolidating the project’s visibility and international collaboration opportunities for Portuguese companies in the sector.
On the third day of the fair, the Agenda consortium’s stand was visited by Yann Buailon, winner of the Micron d’Or award the previous day in the “Intelligent systems and software” category, with the Digital Twin, from the Percipio Robotics company. Buailon showed great interest in getting to know the Microelectronics Agenda and its member companies, highlighting the potential for future collaboration, particularly with PICadvanced.

Agenda’s presence at this edition of Micronora has been a catalyst for promoting the Portuguese microelectronics ecosystem, revealing great potential that is still unknown to many international entities. The stand has received a constant flow of visitors interested in getting to know the project and the consortium members, with visits from companies such as Optoprim, DIMAC srl, Pericio Robotics, Aurea Technology, among others.

In order to strengthen networking, the Agenda representatives at the fair have established contacts with entities such as the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Saône-Doubs and Haute-Savoie, as well as the Gipuzkoa Chamber of San Sebastian in Spain. These entities showed great interest in establishing partnerships with Portugal, with the aim of promoting their territories, creating business opportunities and exchanging students and trainees.

The technical sessions that took place throughout the day addressed highly topical issues such as precision technological innovation using artificial intelligence, micro-nanorobotics and the energy transition, reinforcing Micronora’s importance as a forum for discussion and knowledge sharing.
