Workshop “Microelectronics: U.S. Market” Promotes Internationalisation Opportunities and Technological Cooperation

On June 16, the Science and Innovation Park (PCI) in Aveiro will host the workshop “Microelectronics: USA Market”, an initiative promoted by pela AIDA CCI – Câmara de Comércio e Indústria do Distrito de Aveiro, within the framework of the Microelectronics Agenda, which aims to strengthen connections between the Portuguese microelectronics ecosystem and the U.S. market.

The event will bring together companies, scientific and technological institutions, public entities, and national and international experts to discuss business opportunities, innovation, and cooperation within the microelectronics sector.

The opening session will feature representatives from AIDA CCI, PICadvanced, and PCI. This will be followed by a presentation of the Microelectronics Agenda by Carlos Alves (HFA, S.A.), as well as reflections on the positioning of the Aveiro region as a technological and industrial development hub, with contributions from Pedro Almeida (Municipality of Aveiro) and Luís Miguel Silva (TICE.PT).

One of the key moments of the programme will focus on Florida’s semiconductor ecosystem, with the participation of Jack Henkel (Florida High Tech Corridor), Brenda Prenitzer (NanoSpective), and Raj Gautam Dutta (Silicon Assurance), who will present the capabilities, trends, and business opportunities available in that market.

The workshop will also feature presentations of use cases and projects developed under the Microelectronics Agenda by organisations such as HFA, PICadvanced, and ISR, showcasing the impact of innovation and collaboration among consortium partners.

The closing session will include remarks from Dr. Rui Dias, Mayor of Ílhavo, and a representative of AICEP.

Following the institutional programme, B2B meetings will take place between Portuguese companies and organisations and the United States delegation, fostering direct contacts, collaboration opportunities, and potential international partnerships.

Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration.
