Soberania reports Micro.Electronics Conference.

Rádio Soberania has launched a news item publicising the Micro.Electronics Conference: Portugal as a Global Player in the Semiconductor Market.

The initiative, promoted by the Microelectronics Agenda Consortium, developed within the framework of the PRR, aims to constitute a strategic debate on the national and European agenda for microelectronics and semiconductors and to position Portugal in this market at international level. The ambitions and progress of the Consortium’s activity will be presented, as well as its objectives in the European context.

The Secretary of State for the Economy, Pedro Cilínio; the President of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, Fernando Alfaiate; and Diogo Vaz, Advisor to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, specialising in semiconductors and microelectronics are some of the speakers.

Various topics will be debated, including the ‘Microelectronics Agenda’ in the national context, as well as the ‘European future of semiconductors’. António Barny, Senior Manager of R&D at Amkor Technology Portugal; Rita Santos, Project Manager at Fi Group; Pedro Almeida, Director of PCI – Creative Science Park Aveiro Region will be present at the debate.
