New investments planned in Europe in the semiconductor industry. This time in the Czech Republic.
Semiconductor manufacturer ON Semiconductor Corp. announced in June the construction of a new manufacturing center in the city of Roznov pod Radhostem, with a total investment of 1.8 billion euros. The new center will focus on the production of advanced semiconductors, including chips for electric vehicles and renewable energy, with a contract already in place with Volkswagen AG.
