The Semiconductors Tech Meetup brings together experts from industry and academia to discuss emerging technologies, challenges, and opportunities in the semiconductor sector, with a focus on manufacturing, advanced materials, and future communication systems.
The event will feature Ernesto Barrera, Applied Physics Engineer and Sales Director at PhotonExport, the host organization of the meetup, who will address coating and deposition technologies in semiconductor manufacturing, exploring key processes such as PVD, PECVD, and plasma technologies, as well as the main trends shaping the industry.
This will be followed by a presentation from Nelson J. Muga, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Aveiro, entitled “From Semiconductors to Quantum Information: Enabling Technologies for Future-Proof Secure Communications”, highlighting the role of semiconductors and photonic technologies in the development of secure communications and quantum information systems.
The Tech Meetup is a free event, aimed at professionals, researchers, students, and decision-makers interested in microelectronics, semiconductors, photonics, and quantum technologies, fostering knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration between industry and academia.
