Eletronic Labs, an initiative promoted by partner Inova-Ria Associação de Empresas, as part of the Microelectronics Agenda, a project funded by PRR (Recover Portugal), held an activity today at Santiago Primary School for 4th grade students.
Under the theme “Environment and Sustainable Robotics”, the activity lasted one hour per class and had the following main objectives:
- Raise awareness of the importance of environmental preservation;
- Introduce basic concepts of sustainable robotics and electrical circuits;
- Stimulate creativity and critical thinking through a practical activity;
- Promote teamwork and autonomy in problem-solving.
The students were challenged to create a sustainable “robotic animal” using recyclable materials. With the help of a simple circuit made up of LEDs and a 3V battery, they brought their creations to life.
Eletronic Labs is committed to an active learning approach, promoting contact with emerging technologies and awakening interest in the areas of electronics and robotics – key skills for the future.
