The president of AICEP concluded a visit to California with the aim of promoting Portugal as an investment destination for technology companies.
In the semiconductor sector, AICEP is seeking to position Portugal as a destination of excellence in the area of ‘clean manufacturing’, in which the ‘green’ electricity component is also relevant”. The delegation met with Synopsys and Lam Research and explained, among other things, the contractual incentive regime for industrial investments and the research and development incentive systems involving Portuguese universities.
