The Microelectronics Agenda will host, on 9 December, in Ponte de Sor, a conference dedicated to the impact of microelectronics on the aeronautics industry, emerging technological advancements, and the strategic challenges shaping the sector’s future. The event will bring together companies, experts, decision-makers and public entities in a meeting aimed at strengthening Portugal’s position in aeronautics, navigation and critical technologies.
The session will begin at 12:00 with reception, welcome and networking at the Hangar, followed by lunch. At 13:30, the Opening Session will take place, featuring the Mayor of Ponte de Sor and representatives of the Microelectronics Agenda/Inova-Ria, who will present the strategic framing of the initiative.
Panel 1 – Strategic Vision: Portugal on the Aeronautics and Microelectronics Map

The first panel will explore how microelectronics is transforming the aeronautics industry, the sector’s evolution and the role of Portugal — and Ponte de Sor — in integrating critical technologies.
Invited speakers include representatives from Tekever, AED Cluster, Newspace and Aernnova, moderated by CEIIA.
Panel 2 – Technological Innovation and Applied Microelectronics

This panel will bring together companies known for applying technological solutions directly within the aeronautics sector. Invited speakers include LD Helmet, AS Breathing, AEROMEC, Evoleo, Thales and N3o, with moderation by the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre.
A 20-minute coffee break will follow this session.
Panel 3 – Future Challenges

The third panel will discuss key future challenges and trends, bringing together experts from Open Cosmos, IEFP Alentejo, CTI Aeroespacial, Neuraspace and Critical Software. The panel will be moderated by the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.
Keynote and Institutional Closing
At 17:15, we will welcome the keynote speaker (to be announced shortly).
The institutional closing session will begin at 17:30, featuring representatives of the Government — namely from the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion — followed by a closing message from the Municipality of Ponte de Sor.
The event concludes at 18:00.
