It became clear that microelectronics and associated communication technologies are essential for the sector and for the economy of the future, and that microelectronics is at the heart of Europe and is indispensable for a greener, digital, safer and more sovereign society.

The need to retain male and female talent was also emphasized, as was the involvement of government bodies in raising awareness and attracting young people from secondary school to technical and higher education training in microelectronics.

The Automotive Summit is one of the country’s biggest events in the automotive sector, which seeks to debate Portugal and the future of this sector.

It addresses various themes linked to the sector and includes elements such as the production of parts and components, vehicle assembly, the various technological support areas as well as the after-sales area.

Today, the event will focus on the context and framework of the Portuguese automotive industry, the country’s competitive advantages and challenges, the role of Sector Associations, the importance of flexibility, communication and talent retention, among other key topics.
